We want our adventures to be participatory so that everyone becomes an integral part of the adventure and gets involved to the level which suits them best.”
The Ocean Light II and her crew have been offering exciting trips of exploration on the British Columbia coast for over 30 years. Hosted by Sea Gods Stand Up Paddleboards, this film festival celebrates paddling and aquatic exploration in its many forms from canoeing to whitewater kayaking in fresh and saltwater. This event is a great opportunity to see sixteen of the most celebrated paddling films shortlisted for the World Tour, and participate in raffles and other proceeds in support of Pacific Wild!

A poem about old growth forests, and some striking photo-images by Donna Bindon of ancient cedars and sitka spruce to which to attach as an underscore or background for the poem which poses questions about humanity’s broken relationships with nature, and a plea for resumption of the ancient respect and honour for nature that we yet are capable of. I am retired and I don’t have an art business, but my past work includes freelance radio broadcasting with Park Radio in Banff, and I am working on a book with a co-author retired warden on the spiritual potency of the wild to help heal our world.
